This was a commission for my friend Doug Braithwaite, which I was doing as I entered grad school. It ended up having seven layers of polyester resin with paint on each layer, with the farthest objects away being on the first layer, and the kids up front on the top layer, with everything else on various layers in between. This led to it having both a 3-D appearance as well as weighing about 95 lbs. I never did it again.
His children all have incredibly high self esteem.
