This triptych is the most ambitious work I did while living in Mexico, and I reworked the centerpiece extensively after returning and living with it in my studio for several months. It's about a memorable evening wandering through the alleyways of Guanajuato, Mexico, rich with students, tourists and street musicians performing in period dress for the local tradition they call the Callejoneada.
