Oil on Canvas
20" x 24"

Had to lie a bit in order to get this work painted. The fire chief's wife was commissioning it for a surprise Christmas gift, so I told him I was doing a series of paintings for the Utah Public Works Commission and would they please drive the truck out and park it in the parking lot right where I put these chalk lines five days in a row?

A reporter for a Carbon County newspaper stopped by while I was out painting in the hot parking lot and asked me what I was up to, and took some pictures of me for the Sunday section. I felt bad about lying to her too but it just goes to show you can't believe everything you read in the papers.
