This is a piece I did for a fundraiser for my daughter's little Waldorf School in San Miguel de Allende. Originally conceived as an illustration, I wanted it to have a more graphic feel and so I was looking at Western Pop Artist Billy Schenck for inspiration. I've been enamored of the improbable purple splashes of San Miguel's jacarandas ever since I saw them on our first spring trip there.
